About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability Associate. This role will provide project and administrative support to our RSS team, ensuring the smooth operation of our responsible sourcing and sustainability initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate the Responsible Sourcing & Sustainability Committee (RSSCOM) and its working groups, including organizing meetings, preparing agenda, slides, papers, and minutes, and inviting external speakers.
  2. Coordinate the Cobalt Learning Group, a peer learning group for members to build capacity on environmental and human rights due diligence through workshops, webinars, tools, and other resources.
  3. Collect and manage data for the Cobalt Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
  4. Develop and implement the RSS stakeholder engagement plan.
  5. Coordinate RSS communications, including the Cobalt Institute's Member Intranet, social media posts, and press releases.
  6. Coordinate RSS panels at the annual Cobalt Congress, including inviting panellists, preparing briefing notes, and other logistical arrangements.
  7. Translate technical and policy information into clear and concise reporting for internal and external audiences.
  8. Support the RSS team and undertake related tasks and projects as required.
Requirements
  1. Excellent writing skills and the ability to distil complex information into a clear format.
  2. Strong organizational and project management skills.
  3. Knowledge of the responsible sourcing or sustainability policy landscape, particularly through a social lens, either through academic studies or work experience.
  4. Knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting tools would be highly welcomed.
  5. Ability to operate independently in a remote working environment.

Please note that this role will be based in the UK, with monthly team meetings in London. Occasional international travel may be required.
