About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Team Leader to join our team at The Disabilities Trust. As a Clinical Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, holistic care to individuals with brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the nursing team in developing and implementing high standards of nursing care, providing support and guidance to colleagues and relatives.
  • Take responsibility for a service user group, consulting and liaising with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, and family/carers to ensure individualized care plans are in place.
  • Assess the impact of policy implementation on care delivery and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans using evidence-based guidelines.
  • Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of service user consultations, consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure all clinical staff receive formal documented supervision/clinical supervision in line with professional and statutory requirements.
  • Identify training needs and support staff in their development, promoting a learning environment that encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide educational support to patients, carers, families, and colleagues, promoting a culture of learning and development.

About You:

  • Registered Nurse or degree-level qualification.
  • Experience in specialist palliative or neurological care, depending on service requirements.
  • Proven skills in leading, building, and influencing in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector.
  • Demonstrable experience of practicing in a self-directed and highly motivated way.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate difficult messages to service users and their families.
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Able to effectively manage change and manage performance.
  • An ability to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting.
