Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Education and Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will work closely with schools and other educational settings to provide early intervention and prevention services to children and young people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

The Education Mental Health Practitioner will assess the needs of these individuals and develop tailored interventions to support their wellbeing and education.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires the ability to work effectively in partnership with parents, carers, educators, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

Salary: £32,000 - £43,041 per annum

Location: Avon and Wiltshire

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with schools and other educational settings to provide early intervention and prevention services.
  • Assessing the needs of children and young people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • Developing and delivering targeted interventions to support the wellbeing and education of these individuals.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A relevant degree qualification (e.g., psychology, education, social work).
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in partnership with parents, carers, educators, and other professionals.
