Position Overview:

This Cost Estimator role involves collaborating closely with Operations and Project teams. The position encompasses site assessments, preparing quotations, project coordination, and procurement of materials.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assess estimates provided by engineers and contractors to ensure alignment with client requirements and organizational goals within designated timelines.
  • Generate quotations in accordance with company performance indicators and service level agreements.
  • Maintain awareness of commercial factors and comprehend financial objectives related to materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Update and manage data on both internal and external IT platforms.
  • Communicate effectively through various channels to guarantee quality and timely project delivery within budget constraints.
  • Compile risk assessments and verify that necessary permits are secured prior to project initiation.
  • Address compliance-related challenges and upload pertinent certifications.
  • Assist in the submission of worksheets and certifications for payment processing.
  • Collaborate with engineers and subcontractors to obtain missing information for accurate margin calculations.
  • Investigate instances of overspending and ensure adherence to established processes by operational support, engineers, and contractors.
  • Coordinate and generate comprehensive project summary reports.
  • Maintain and update systems for tracking project expenditures.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a comparable role, ideally within property management and facilities management sectors.
  • Proficiency in IT applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Capability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team, demonstrating flexibility in managing priorities and deadlines.
