About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support two children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) in our KS1 class. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping these children reach their full potential and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support and guidance to the two children with EAL, assisting with their language development and learning needs.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other staff members to develop and implement effective strategies to support the children's learning.
  • Work closely with external professionals, such as speech therapists and educational psychologists, to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social and emotional development.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with additional learning needs, particularly those with EAL.
  • Knowledge of the EAL curriculum and ability to adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Ability to commit to the duration of the role, which is a maternity cover position.
