Job Title: Year 2 Teacher Position

Job Summary:

Destination Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our team. As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to students in Year 2, ensuring their academic progress and providing a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons in accordance with the curriculum, promoting student engagement and academic progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social skills and values diversity.
  • Assess student learning through various formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents/guardians, and the wider school community through effective communication and involvement in school events.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods, technology, and resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Hold a QTS certificate (or the PGCE equivalent).
  • Experience teaching primary school students, preferably in KS1.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for continuous learning.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners and create a supportive learning environment.
