The Role

As a Gas Engineer with Aston Group UK, you will be responsible for maintaining property services by delivering planned and reactive maintenance to agreed programmes, budgets, and quality standards within our operational targets.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspections, diagnose faults, fit parts, and carry out repairs relating to all aspects of heating and hot water systems.
  • Complete fumes investigations and heat loss calculations.
  • Conduct replacement boiler or system upgrade surveys, including quality control of completed works.
  • Test and commission equipment.
  • Undertake gas servicing and testing of smoke and CO alarms.
  • Complete job sheets/PDA for every task, daily log sheets, and weekly time sheets.
  • Ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times, ensuring the safety of the workforce and public.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure a high-quality service is delivered and a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Deliver planned commitments to clients, ensuring agreed KPIs and service levels are met.
  • Provide technical support and advice.
  • Supervise and train staff.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service for all internal and external facing activities.
  • Attend toolbox talks and comply with the company's Health & Safety Policy at all times.
  • Undertake other duties of a similar nature as required by management.
  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of company vehicles.

Requirements

  • ACS/Gas Safe qualified with relevant experience.
  • CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT qualifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years gas servicing experience.
  • Experience as a suitably qualified heating/gas service engineer working in communal and/or domestic premises.
  • Ability to use and train in the use of PDA devices.
  • Excellent technical skills on all aspects of gas systems, including system wiring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Valid full clean driving licence.
