Job Description:

This role involves teaching courses on campus and online, serving as the graduate program director, contributing to scholarship through presentations and/or publications, maintaining currency in the academic discipline, and pursuing service and leadership opportunities within the Program, Center, College, University, and profession. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Serve as graduate program director, collaborating with Graduate Admissions and Enrollment regarding recruitment and admission of students in the Master of Counselor Education Program.
  • Coordinate program during summer months on an overload basis.
  • Manage scheduling and course delivery and provide leadership in course development and implementation.
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in teaching and student assessment, using faculty development opportunities and teacher effectiveness tools to improve teaching.
  • Maintain regular office hours, identifying students who are struggling and need extra attention or support to be successful.

Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in Counselor Education or a related field from an accredited college or university required.
  • Master's degree in Counselor Education or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Experience in higher education, recruitment, and retention of students.
  • Record of teaching excellence and scholarship.
