This will be an excellent opportunity for any individuals striving to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist and provide an opportunity to develop the necessary skills.
About the RoleYou will be key in providing a comprehensive, highly specialist service to patients undergoing weight management via bariatric surgery. We are looking for autonomous, dynamic individuals who have a passion for patient care and an empathetic approach for caring for this group of patients. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, managerial skills, and work well as part of a team.
Main Duties- Provide a comprehensive, highly specialist service to patients undergoing weight management via bariatric surgery.
- Attend and lead outreach clinics at The Countess of Chester Hospital.
- Provide expert care, highly specialist advice, and support to patients undergoing bariatric surgery and their carers, including patient assessment, planning, and implementing specialist care.
- Develop and lead education, training, research, and audit relevant to the specialty.
- Co-ordinate the bariatric surgery journey, acting as the key worker for patients under your care on the bariatric pathway.
