Nurse Specialist in Bariatric Surgery

About the Role
This exciting opportunity has arisen within the Bariatric Service at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust.
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team, providing expert care and highly specialist advice to patients undergoing bariatric surgery and their carers.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive highly specialist service to patients undergoing weight management via bariatric surgery.
- Attend and lead outreach Clinics at The Countess of Chester Hospital.
- Assess patients and their complex needs, plan, implement, and evaluate specialist programs of care.
- Communicate with healthcare professionals, documenting patient details while maintaining confidentiality.
- Offer emotional, psychological, and practical support to patients and their families throughout the bariatric surgery pathway.
- Ensure that all practice conforms to current written protocols and policies of UHNS.

- NMC Registered Adult Nurse.
