Clinical Specialist in Bariatric Surgery and Patient Care

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bariatric surgery nursing and be passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
Job Responsibilities- Act as a specialist nurse for patients undergoing bariatric surgery, providing direct clinical involvement in complex patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Lead a nurse-led service for patients requiring follow-up care after surgical intervention, facilitating investigations for those suspected of post-surgical complications, and providing telephone support to patients and their carers.
- Co-ordinate the bariatric surgery journey, acting as the key worker for patients under your care on the bariatric pathway, assessing patients' complex needs, and planning, implementing, and evaluating specialist programs of care.
- Current NMC Adult Registration
- Evidence of practice development
- Knowledge of bariatric specialty
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritise and use initiative
The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
