**Job Title:** Mechanical Engineer Technician
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our team at Ambitek Limited in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. As a key member of our rail production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient manufacture of railway vehicles.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out skilled fitting and overhaul work within a rail production environment, working to targets and deadlines to meet tight customer deadlines.
- Comply with Company health, safety and environmental procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Promote lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiency utilising the 5S principles.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with colleagues.
The successful candidate will have a background in heavy engineering fitting (e.g., HGV, Bus, Rail, Aerospace or motor mechanics) and good literacy and numeracy knowledge. The salary for this position is estimated to be around £40,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
