Job Summary

We are looking for a Planning and Development Coordinator to join our team in Rutland. As a Planning and Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for investigating planning applications that impact the countryside and helping us influence their outcome.

The successful candidate will have some knowledge of countryside and environmental issues, as well as previous experience in the planning sector and familiarity with the planning system. An eye for detail and interest in investigative work is essential.

You will be visiting local planning offices and proposed development sites to examine plans and record details. Liaising with parish and district councils, as well as other conservation bodies, is also a key aspect of this role.

Key responsibilities include influencing Local and Neighbourhood Plans, as well as collaborating with the planning team and policy committee at National CPRE to contribute to consultations and policy development.

A commitment to volunteering regularly, with occasional attendance at meetings, is required. In return, you will contribute to the success of our charity and make a positive difference to the countryside.

Estimated salary: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum.
