Job Description

Proclinical Staffing is seeking a dynamic National Sales Manager to lead the strategic and operational sales functions for oncology brands in the UK market. This role involves developing a go-to-market model, recruiting and training a top-tier sales team, and setting plans to exceed sales targets in both private and NHS sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement National Sales Strategies: Maximize revenue from day one by creating and executing effective sales plans.
  • Lead and Motivate the Sales Team: Foster a high-performing team by providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth and development.
  • Review and Analyze Performance: Regularly assess territory account plans and sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy and Insights: Verify that CRM systems and dashboards provide reliable data and actionable insights to inform sales decisions.
  • Support Marketing Initiatives: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute national tactics and omnichannel plans.
  • Build Relationships with Key Opinion Leaders: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders across the UK to drive sales growth.
  • Identify Data Gaps and Communicate with Stakeholders: Recognize areas where data is lacking and communicate with market access and medical teams to address these gaps.
  • Manage Territory and National Budgets: Oversee budgets for field-based activities to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Lead Quarterly Sales Meetings: Organize and facilitate quarterly sales meetings to drive sales performance and growth.
  • Establish Field Visit Purpose and Frequency: Define the purpose and frequency of field visits to ensure effective sales coverage.
  • Focus on Coaching and Development: Emphasize individual performance and development through coaching and training.
  • Identify Common Training Needs and Develop Plans: Recognize areas where training is needed and develop plans to address these gaps.
  • Act as a Proactive Member of the Commercial Leadership Team: Contribute to cross-functional in-market projects and ensure compliance with company standards and the ABPI code of practice.
Requirements:
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry: Proven track record in oncology sales, particularly in the UK market.
  • Background in Training and/or Organizational Development: Experience in training and/or organizational development to drive sales performance and growth.
  • Experience Launching Oncology Products: Proven ability to launch oncology products in the UK market.
  • Qualifications: Degree in life sciences or related field and ABPI qualification.
  • Key Skills: Strong product, therapy area, and competitor knowledge, as well as analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Experience Engaging and Developing Key Opinion Leaders: Proven ability to engage and develop key opinion leaders in oncology.
  • Ability to Simplify Complex Information: Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
