Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Coach and Groups Manager to join our team and lead our Masters swim programme. As a part-time PAYE position, this role offers up to 15 hours of work per week, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive training programme for adult swimmers, incorporating elements of fitness, competition, and social interaction.
  • Lead and mentor the University of West England Swim Squad, focusing on teamwork, camaraderie, and individual growth.
  • Compete in masters events with paid overtime, demonstrating the team's capabilities and commitment.
  • Collaborate with other coaches to design and implement group training programmes, enhancing overall team performance.
  • Support the Head Coach in maintaining a structured and supportive team environment, ensuring seamless integration and growth.
  • Adapt to varying schedules, including early mornings, weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, while providing optional open water coaching opportunities during summer months.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Hold a Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate or ASA Level 2 Coaching Award, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate adult swimmers, colleagues, and parents.
  • Possess a reflective and adaptable approach to coaching, with a focus on continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Meet the desirable requirements, including RLSS NRASTC pool supervision certification, a UK driving license, or the ability to travel to different pools in Bristol and surrounding areas.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a salary ranging from £12,000 to £13,000 per year. This role also includes opportunities for growth, development, and contributions to the success of our swim programme.
