Link Education Ltd is currently working with a primary school in Bexleyheath seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a passion for working with children with special educational needs. This long-term maternity cover role requires an inspirational and highly motivated individual who can work effectively in a team to provide children with opportunities to make outstanding progress in every aspect of their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Establishing a safe, organised and stimulating environment that fosters curiosity, independence and celebrates pupils' achievements.
  • Adhering to all school Safeguarding policies and procedures and maintaining high standards of safety and observing good practice in relation to health and safety issues.
  • Being aware of and implementing students' care plans and assisting the students in their learning and development.
Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Degree or Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
  • Experience working with SEN students within a classroom
  • Strong classroom skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment and excellent communication skills
About the Salary

This role offers an estimated salary of £35,000 per annum, which reflects the importance of this role in supporting the learning and development of children with special educational needs.
