Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to join our team. As a key member of our technical leadership, you will be responsible for the management and deployment of our enterprise's application systems globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application System Management: Oversee the deployment and maintenance of our global application systems, ensuring they remain performant, available, scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Technology Selection and Implementation: Select and implement suitable technologies to support our application systems, ensuring they meet our business needs and comply with industry standards.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership and guidance to our DevOps teams globally, working closely with development and product teams to improve developer productivity and reduce time to market.
  • Global Best Practices: Work with our architecture and security teams to establish and maintain global best practices across all application platforms.
  • DevOps Strategy Execution: Execute our global DevOps strategy, ensuring our teams continue to mature and adopt best practices.
  • Technical Debt Management: Manage technical application/infrastructure debt in line with our strategies, ensuring our systems remain up-to-date and efficient.
  • Metric Development and Reporting: Develop, implement, and report on critical metrics that demonstrate progress against agreed SLAs.
  • Security Support: Support our application security team in delivering and maintaining our Application Cyber Security strategies, ensuring governance and rigor are applied to existing security processes and practices.
Requirements
  • Senior Technical Experience: 5+ years of experience in a senior technical role, leading DevOps, Architecture, or Development teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical expertise across a wide range of domains, including infrastructure, software development, and related cybersecurity.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience architecting, building, and managing AWS cloud environments.
  • Cost Management: Experience managing costs in a cloud compute environment, while maintaining scalable and performant systems.
  • Toolchain Experience: Experience building distributed toolchains and libraries that facilitate rapid application development and repeatable, predictable design patterns using Atlassian-based products, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, DAST tooling, SAST tooling, and SCA tooling.
  • Strategic Mindset: A strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, anticipate future trends, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Distributed Team Experience: Experience working with distributed teams with offshore resources.
