Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a leading healthcare provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality patient care.

We are seeking an experienced Cancer Pharmacy Specialist to join our team, providing clinical pharmacy services to adult cancer patients in-patients, day-case, and out-patients.

The successful candidate will have a degree in pharmacy (MPharm or equivalent) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

A Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience is also required. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be well-organized, and have good written and oral communication skills.

The role involves participating in pharmacy services to the Day Treatment Unit to optimize patients' medication and reduce medicines wastage, clinical checking of systemic anticancer treatment (SACT) and SACT clinical trial prescriptions, and pharmacist-led oral anti-cancer treatment education clinics.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring medicines are used appropriately, safely, and cost-effectively. They will also participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and out-patient clinics to provide pharmaceutical advice to prescribers and other healthcare professionals.

In addition, the role involves tutoring rotational clinical pharmacists undertaking the Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy and participating in local, national, and international specialist interest groups and conferences/meetings.

The salary for this position is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
