About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Advanced Cancer Pharmacist to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Practitioner in Cancer Pharmacy, you will work as part of our Cancer Pharmacy Team to specialise in Oncology, covering maternity cover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to, deliver, develop and evaluate clinical pharmacy services and medicines optimisation in Oncology.
  • Support and deputise for the Consultant Pharmacists, Highly Advanced Pharmacist/Divisional Lead Pharmacist as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain highly specialist knowledge in medicines used and clinical advances within the specialty.
  • Act as a role model for pharmacy and the wider MDT in the speciality.
  • Be an active member of the pharmacy department and in the specialist area/Directorate team, and ensure continuous two-way exchange of information to maintain high standards of medicines use within the Trust.
Requirements
  • First degree in Pharmacy (Masters) or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Post-graduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Formal postgraduate training in Cancer.
  • Experience as a clinical tutor for Cardiff or other diploma.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Membership of regional/national/international specialist interest group.
