We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Cancer Pharmacist to join our team at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Cancer Pharmacist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to adult oncology and haematology patients.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and delivery of clinical pharmacy services and medicines optimisation in oncology, haematology, palliative and end-of-life care.
- Support and deputise for Consultant Pharmacists and Highly Advanced Pharmacists/Divisional Lead Pharmacists as required.
- Develop and maintain highly specialist knowledge in medicines used and clinical advances within the specialty.
- Act as a role model for pharmacy and the wider multidisciplinary team in the specialty.
- Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds and contribute to the development of high-quality pharmaceutical care.
- Provide specialised professional and technical education and training to enable clinical units to meet high standards of patient care and safety.
- Develop and maintain a framework for the safe, efficient and cost-effective use of medicine resources within the specialist area.
- Contribute to the development of drug protocols and formulary development.
- Prepare budgetary reports for clinical areas and contribute to the development of a service within pharmacy.
- Undertake and supervise audits or drug use evaluations.
- Contribute to publications and conference presentations at a regional level.
- Develop and maintain a portfolio demonstrating advanced level in the four pillars of practice (clinical practice, leadership & management, education, research).

Person Specification- First degree in Pharmacy (Masters) or equivalent.
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Post-graduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Formal postgraduate training in Cancer.
- Experience as a clinical tutor for Cardiff or other diploma.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
- Membership of regional/national/international specialist interest group.
- MSc in Clinical Pharmacy.
- MSc in Cancer.
- RPS Faculty Advanced Level certification in Advanced Pharmacy Practice (APF) Competencies.
