Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer

Location: Leeds

Salary: £60k - £75k

Fruition IT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a bespoke SaaS product using Node JS as the backend framework, spun up into an AWS platform.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Terraform as the infrastructure as code, JavaScript development, and a strong understanding of cloud exposure, ideally in AWS but Azure or GCP is also acceptable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a high-performing connected platform using Node JS and AWS.
  • Work closely with agile teams to meet software deliverables.
  • Support continuous integration to enhance deployment.
  • Developing backend software in Java into a high load environment.
  • Performing code reviews.

Requirements:

  • JavaScript development experience.
  • Understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React on the frontend.
  • Good cloud exposure, ideally in AWS but Azure or GCP is also fine.
  • Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and MySQL.
