Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Leeds - Flexible Working Arrangements

Salary: £60k - £75k per annum

Fruition IT is partnering with a leading tech company to find a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a bespoke software platform, driving business growth and innovation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing a high-performance connected platform using Terraform, Node JS, and AWS. Key responsibilities include:

  • Transforming concepts and requirements into a scalable software solution.
  • Collaborating with agile teams to deliver software projects.
  • Ensuring continuous integration and deployment.
  • Developing backend software in Java for high-load environments.
  • Performing code reviews and ensuring high-quality code.
  • Working in an AWS environment with experience in cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript development.
  • Understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React on the frontend.
  • Good cloud exposure, preferably in AWS, but Azure or GCP is also acceptable.
  • Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and MySQL.
