BANK Ward Clerk Position

We are seeking a skilled Ward Clerk to join our team based at The Harborne Hospital to provide administrative support and ensure a high-quality service for clients.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in an administrative role within a healthcare setting, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with computers.

This is a bank position offering flexibility to work various shifts as required by the hospital.

Job Summary:

As a Ward Clerk, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the hospital team and ensuring the smooth operation of the ward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and greet patients, visitors, consultants, and staff while maintaining world-class standards.
  • Respond to telephone enquiries and refer them when necessary.
  • Arrange bookings for consultant appointments and clinical investigations.
  • Register patients and input charges into the computer system.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Unit Manager and Sisters, and occasionally work on other units in their absence.
  • Take minutes, prepare meeting agendas, and draft meeting minutes.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in an administrative role within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers.
