Job Description

As a Registered Childrens Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in a 4-Bed Childrens Residential Home in the Coventry area.

About the Team

The team is dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to children aged 5-17 who have experienced complex trauma. The team is led by the Regional Manager and works closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Social Workers, CAMHS, and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the team to deliver high-quality care and support to children aged 5-17 who have experienced complex trauma
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and standards requirements, including Children Acts 1989 & 2004, Care Standards Act 2000, Childrens Homes Regulations 2015, and Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018; 2020)
  • Implementing and maintaining a therapeutic environment aligned with the Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) model of care
  • Developing and supervising staff members, including the Deputy Manager, to ensure excellent care and support delivery
Requirements
  • Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People)
  • Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
  • Full UK Driving Licence and business motor insurance
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with children and young people
  • Minimum 2 years in a senior or deputy manager role
  • At least 1 year supervising and managing staff in a care role
Salary

$42,000 - $46,000 per year salary
