Mental Health Support Role at Hereward College

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Hereward College in Coventry, West Midlands. The successful candidate will have a strong background in counselling/psychotherapy and experience working with young people with SEND.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with complex needs and wants to make a difference in their lives.

The role involves providing group and one-to-one support using a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of students requiring short- and long-term support
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure accurate statistical information is collected and provided
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and contribute to the development of the College's wellbeing strategy
