About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Student Mental Health Advisor to join our Student Wellbeing Team at Coventry University. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives, providing essential support and guidance during times of need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of students experiencing mental health difficulties or dual diagnosis, providing one-to-one support and assessments.
  • Respond to crisis situations, implementing intervention procedures and liaising with staff across the group.
  • Contribute to workshops and group sessions on student mental health, collaborating with Welfare and Wellbeing teams to ensure accessible support.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field (Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Health, Psychology, or Counselling).
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team, with clinical experience in mental health settings.
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations, crisis intervention, and policy adherence.
