Job Title: SEMH Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEMH Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects within the GCSE curriculum
  • Create a supportive environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn
  • Manage challenging behaviour effectively
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans and interventions
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other support staff to provide holistic and individualised support for each student
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behaviour
Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, preferably secondary aged
  • Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and the ability to teach across multiple subjects
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of SEMH strategies, interventions, and best practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of staff to manage a team of support staff within the classroom
