About the Role

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking a highly skilled DB Investment Consultant to join their team in Brighton. This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary of up to £100,000 per annum.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance to colleagues on investment approaches for defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) pension schemes.
  • Develop and implement the new funding framework for DB schemes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Formulate policies and frameworks for DB scheme endgame strategies and financial stability, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Craft policy and oversight frameworks for collective defined contribution (CDC) schemes and superfunds, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Develop investment policies and advice concerning new legislation, such as climate change and value for money, to ensure the company's investment strategies remain compliant and effective.
  • Offer investment advice for DC Mastertrusts, providing expert guidance on investment approaches and risk management.
  • Present and network at investment and pension industry conferences, representing the company and promoting their expertise.
  • Shape the team's core investment perspectives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall investment strategy.
  • Enhance the company's investment modelling capabilities, providing data-driven insights to inform investment decisions.
Person Specification
  • Comprehensive understanding of investment in workplace pension funds, including DB and DC schemes.
  • Proven experience managing or consulting for workplace pension funds, either in-house, as an investment consultant, or as an investment or fiduciary manager.
  • Extensive knowledge of DB and DC investment strategies, including risk management and compliance.
  • Established network within the pensions or regulatory sectors, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Relevant professional certification, such as CFA, FIA, FFA, CISI, or equivalent.
