Community Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team at Emmaus Hertfordshire. As a key member of our support team, you will work closely with our companions to empower them on their journey to independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement holistic support interventions to promote companions' well-being and independence.
  • Develop and maintain support plans to ensure companions' goals are met.
  • Provide life skills coaching and training to enhance companions' abilities.
  • Support companions in their social enterprise activities, promoting financial independence.
  • Participate in solidarity activities and contribute to a positive community environment.

Requirements:

  • Practical experience supporting vulnerable adults, or transferable skills with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to identify and address risks or safeguarding concerns.
  • Proficiency in IT and database management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
