The successful applicant will collaborate with the Professional Lead for Forensic Clinical Psychology/Head of Service for Complex Care to deliver a high-quality specialist clinical and forensic psychology service to individuals with mental health disorders.

Key responsibilities include providing expert psychological assessments, treatments, and evaluations for mentally disordered offenders subject to mental health legislation. This role involves working closely with forensic patients within the Orchard Clinic medium secure unit and during follow-up sessions in other services or the community.

The post requires providing high-quality support and consultation to clinical teams, other professionals, criminal justice agencies, and non-professional carers. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to provide teaching, supervision, consultancy, and research expertise to Clinical Psychology trainees and other mental health professionals.

This position also entails contributing to the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service. In collaboration with the Forensic Professional Lead, there is a requirement to utilise high-level research skills for audit, policy, and service development.

We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, in the range of £45,000 - £60,000, depending on qualifications and prior experience. The estimated salary for this role is approximately £52,750.
