Operational Excellence in Commercial Insurance


The role of Operations Manager presents a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing insurance broker, operating with a strong commercial focus. This established company is looking for an experienced professional to oversee the support function, comprising 12 team members, including a Team Leader, Account Handlers, and Administrators.


With a departmental turnover of circa £15m GWP, and ambitious targets to reach £20m by April 2025, this position offers the chance to be part of an exciting period of growth and development. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Commercial, supporting local and regional Account Executives in servicing and retaining clients, placing risks with leading insurers & MGA's, and collaborating with the in-house claims team as required.


This role requires a solid understanding of commercial insurance principles, combined with exceptional organisational skills, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations while driving business evolution. Although the Broking Team Leader will handle aspects such as training, reviews, and one-on-ones, the Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical development of the team, driving retention and growth targets, and optimising workload distribution.


The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership potential, with previous experience not being essential. Experience with Acturis software is advantageous but not mandatory. In return, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a company experiencing remarkable 30% growth over the past 18 months.


Compensation Package:



  • A competitive salary range between £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
