Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Countermeasure Development Engineer to join our Electronic Warfare Support Group (EWOS) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing countermeasure techniques to protect our customers' systems from various threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain countermeasure simulation software tools, such as CounterWorX, to model physical interactions and phenomena across dynamic simulations.
  • Collaborate with our software development team to ensure that all releasable software products meet the required assurance standards.
  • Analyse and design countermeasure techniques to optimise performance against specific threats, using deterministic, stochastic, or exploratory models.
  • Work closely with our customers to understand their requirements and provide technical advice and support.
Requirements
  • Degree in a STEM subject, ideally in Mathematics, Physics, or Electronics.
  • Experience using programming software, such as MATLAB, Simulink, or Python.
  • Experience in at least one stage of model development, including design, build, integration, test, deployment, etc.
Desirable Experience
  • Understanding of mathematics or physics involved in Radar, Electro-Optics, or Infra-Red system operation.
  • Mentoring of junior team members.
  • Interest in new technologies and their application within an EW domain.
Security Clearance

Due to the highly secure nature of the projects, you must be a UK National and eligible to work in the UK, and eligible to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance.
