About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team at Worcester Royal Hospital on a permanent basis. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for leading engineering activities and undertaking duties for which you are trained and competent to do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, and inspection on electrical systems, mechanical and associated building services
  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to various services across site, including lighting systems, nurse call, L.V electrical installations, security systems, motors, and pumps
  • Respond to ad-hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor/manager
  • Assist in carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works
  • Carry out systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment
  • Ensure liaison with wards and departments as required, minimizing disruption
  • Collaborate and cooperate with partners and colleagues to deliver a customer-focused service

Requirements

  • Recognized apprenticeship in electrical engineering discipline to City & Guilds level
  • At least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience within a maintenance environment
  • Good electrical knowledge, ability to fault find and repair electrical systems
  • Previously worked within a maintenance environment
  • Prepared to work out of hours as necessary
  • Work as a team player, flexible, and willing to take a proactive approach to problem-solving
