We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Support Worker to join our dynamic team within the healthcare sector. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Assisting individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Promoting independence and empowering individuals to develop essential life skills.
- Building strong relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Supporting individuals in accessing educational, vocational, and recreational activities within the community.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care plans and progress reports.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and patient nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.
