Facilities Engineer Job Description

About the Role

The Sterling Group is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team. As a Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the onsite infrastructure, including buildings, lighting, heating, waste management systems, and electricity distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the onsite facilities maintenance team to ensure smooth operations.
  2. Manage external contractors and oversee project management from conception to completion.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety and legislative requirements, including gas, fire, pressure vessels, and lifting equipment.

Requirements

  1. Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment (desirable).
  2. Knowledge of AHUs, VAVs, heating, and hot water systems.
  3. Evidence of new equipment installation.
  4. Full right to work in the UK and hold a UK driving license.
  5. Qualified within an engineering discipline with a 2:1 or above degree.
