Job Summary:
MERITUS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Document and Data Manager to join our team as a Configuration Management Specialist. This is a 12-month contract position based in Portsmouth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to company guidelines and Configuration Management best practices.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on Configuration Management processes.
- Support process production and improvement.
- Develop and maintain user guides for Configuration Management tools.
- Work closely with project, product, and service teams.
- Provide first-line support and training for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) users.
Responsibilities:
- Record documents and data in the CMDB.
- Control existing documents in the CMDB.
- Distribute documents and data externally and internally.
- Monitor and control the quality of internal documents.
- Create and manage relevant structures in the CMDB.
- Monitor and control the state of the CMDB.
- Control access to the CMDB.
- Support project team members with CADM-related queries and provide guidance on document and data management and CMDB use.
- Propose process improvements.
- Support the CADM team.
- Report on activities, CMDB state, and documentation/data status.
- Support the CADM Team Leader.
- Manage and control secondary CMDBs access.
- Provide first-line support for user issues (troubleshooting) in all CMDBs.
- Contribute to and produce CMDB procedures and support process improvement.
- Contribute to and produce data management processes and support process improvement.
- Produce and maintain document templates.
- Record, control, maintain, and distribute controlled data.
- Provide reports to the CADM Team Lead and/or project, product, or service teams.
Requirements:
- Good standard of education (GCSE, high school diploma, NVQ, or similar).
- Excellent oral and written English language skills.
- Minimum 2 years of document control experience in a technical or data management environment.
- Digitally literate and proficient with MS Office tools.
- Previous experience with file/data management tools (MS Office, PDF editor, FTP, Nero, etc.).
- Previous experience with Product Data Management tools (Windchill, Teamcenter, Aras Minerva, etc.) required.
- Exposure to APQP, CMII would be an asset.
- European languages advantageous.
- Understanding of project, product lifecycle highly desirable.
