About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Highway Engineer to join our team at Access Talent Group. As a key member of our Highways Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in the successful design and delivery of highway schemes from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare designs from inception through to detailed design and implementation, adhering to national and local design standards and policies.
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure delivery of high-quality projects on time and on budget.
  • Assist in preparing estimates and monitoring project costs to ensure completion within agreed budgets.
  • Prepare, tender, and assess contract documentation, and provide technical input on site as necessary.
  • Represent the team at meetings, liaise with project clients, and provide technical support as required.
Requirements
  • Strong desire to learn and develop skills leading to further qualifications in Civil Engineering.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work, including technical reports and designs.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design systems.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
