This position requires a strong foundation in laboratory skills and experience with good laboratory practice. As a Laboratory Assistant Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, while also contributing to the maintenance of our food/beverage laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, document, and conduct analysis of incoming samples across various laboratories.
  • Ensure consistent and reliable results by following laboratory procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain equipment and organize/coordinate maintenance with contractors.
  • Assist in the maintenance of food/beverage laboratories, ensuring good housekeeping practices.
  • Work to a high standard of safety and cleanliness, responsible for own personal safety and that of people working in the area.
  • Liaise with other departments to minimize process interruptions.
  • Undertake various lab tasks as directed.
  • Assist in maintaining stock levels.
  • Prepare food/beverage samples as required for internal and external use.
  • Coordinate and carry out analysis of samples, including taste testing of finished product.
  • Input recipes on the SAP IT system.

Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including maths & science
  • Good laboratory practice experience, if possible
  • Spoken and written English
  • UK/EU driving license
  • BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS (MS OFFICE, EXCEL)
  • ABILITY TO UNDERTAKE SOME PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
