Job Title: SEN Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified SEN Teacher to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. The successful candidate will contribute to the work of our well-established and successful Learning Support Department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the school's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.

  • Contribute to the school's commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Participate in school-wide projects and tasks.
Responsibilities Particular to the Learning Support Teacher Post:
  • Support personalised learning in various educational contexts.
  • Teach students with SEN to maximise their learning potential and meet objectives in Education, Health and Care Plans.
  • Assist with organising and providing exam support for Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-level students.
  • Assess and track the progress of students receiving additional support from the Learning Support department.
  • Help develop an alternative curriculum for students experiencing barriers to learning.
  • Teach skills-based programmes and work alongside different curriculum areas to support SEN learners.
  • Liaise with professionals to explore strategies to support vulnerable students.
  • Work with other teachers and Teaching Assistants to best support students with additional needs.
  • Conduct Annual Reviews for pupils with EHCPs.
Qualification Criteria:
  • Qualified to degree level and above in the relevant subject.
  • Qualified to teach in the UK, PGCE, or similar.
Experience:
  • Teachers of all levels of experience, including ECTs, are welcome to apply.
Teaching and Learning:
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with consistently good or above-rated lessons.
  • Effective and systematic behaviour management.
  • Good communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrates resilience, motivation, and commitment to driving standards of achievement.
  • Passion for teaching students with additional needs.
  • Results-oriented and relentless drive to ensure all students succeed.
  • Courage and conviction to make a difference.
