**Job Description:**

The Strategic Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to the on-site operations team, ensuring profitability and financial stability across all profit centres. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with the on-site operations team to provide financial guidance and support, ensuring operational decisions are informed by financial insights.
  • Managing weekly financial reporting on sales, gross profit, labour, and overheads across all profit centres, identifying areas of improvement and recommending actions to enhance profitability.
  • Analysing high and low-margin products, recommending actions to improve profitability and optimise product and supplier performance.
  • Evaluating purchasing compliance, focusing on product and supplier optimisation, and assessing finance processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Providing strategic support for projects, using data-driven analysis to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Challenging and interpreting current and future trading plans, providing insights and recommendations to support business strategy.
  • Leading the financial planning and budgeting processes, adhering to timelines, and owning the Management Account.
  • Fostering financial awareness and acumen among colleagues, ensuring a culture of financial literacy and best practice.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Strong background in finance, with experience in business partnering and financial analysis.
  • Proven analytical capabilities, with experience in financial reporting and data analysis.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting, with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communicator, able to work across all levels of the organisation, with strong Excel skills and intermediate to advanced proficiency in pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and multi-workbook reporting.
