At Carbon Clean Solutions Ltd, we are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Financial Operations Director to lead our day-to-day financial operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with excellent leadership skills and experience in managing global teams.

Overview

The role will oversee the implementation and maintenance of high-quality and efficient financial accounting, compliance, and reporting processes and controls. You will be responsible for leading the Group's treasury operations, ensuring adherence to all statutory obligations, and managing intercompany transactions.

Your focus will be on delivering the agreed financial operations objectives (goals) for each financial year, working autonomously under the strategic direction and oversight of the Chief Commercial Officer (CCFO). You will apply good commercial acumen to the role, proactively manage the Profit and Loss statement, and effectively deputise for the CCFO when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations: Deliver the agreed financial operations objectives (goals) for each financial year, working autonomously under the strategic direction and oversight of the Chief Commercial Officer (CCFO).
  • Treasury Operations: Lead the Group's treasury operations, ensuring adherence to all statutory obligations, and managing intercompany transactions.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Manage intercompany transactions, including revenue recognition, capital expenditure, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure adherence to all financial reporting deadlines across the Group, consolidating group results, including accounting for Joint Ventures and Investments.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with significant experience as a Group Financial Controller or similar role for an international group, ideally within an industrial context. You should have a strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), long-term complex engineering contract accounting, and revenue recognition.

You should be a professionally qualified accountant with a superb technical knowledge – ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred. Minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience is required. You should also have excellent understanding of ERP/MRP systems, preferably with experience in their implementation/configuration.
