Job DescriptionThis role offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to develop their skills and expertise as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician with Boots. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services.
Main Responsibilities- Ordering medicines, checking, dispensing, and endorsing of prescriptions
- Performing final accuracy checks on dispensed items to free up time for pharmacists to offer additional services
- Overseeing Dispensing Team Members when required by the Responsible Pharmacist
- Preparing, supplying, and checking prescriptions while providing advice and support
- Taking medicine histories from patients and offering guidance on treatment options
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician with the recognized Accuracy Checking Qualification
- A genuine passion for patient and customer care
- The ability to maintain high standards efficiently
- Comfortable overseeing the dispensing team and providing support to the wider healthcare team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
