Job Title: Food, Health and Safety Compliance Manager

Gate Gourmet, a leading provider of airline catering solutions and provisioning services, is seeking an experienced Food and Health Safety professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be based at Trafford Park, Manchester, and will provide support to our other locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety compliance standards to ensure minimum legal compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Audit all areas of operations, including aviation and rail, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct investigations and ensure necessary actions are taken and communicated, including customer complaints, accidents, risk assessments, and insurance claims.
  • Analyze results of audits/complaints and highlight trends to identify problem areas.
  • Liaise with legal departments, legislative authorities, third parties, and customers to ensure effective communication.
  • Oversee and support the business with new initiatives/projects to completion.
  • Manage food information systems and produce reports to Corporate, UK & Ireland, and Unit Management.
  • Support unit activities and facilitate a best practice approach to problem solving and improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable management experience, preferably within the aviation industry or food industry.
  • Good understanding of Food/Health and Safety legislation/HACCP and how they are enforced.
  • Understanding of safety management systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
