About the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide education support to new arrivals, promoting learning opportunities within the education department. This includes conducting research on men's educational backgrounds, administering basic skills assessments, screening for any LDD needs, developing learning support plans, and assisting teachers in implementing strategies to support inclusive education.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of how people learn and effective methods to enhance the learning experience
  • A proven track record of working effectively with individuals presenting challenging behavior
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • To hold or be willing to work towards level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy within an agreed timeframe
  • To hold or be willing to work towards a level 2 or 3 qualification for Learning Support Practitioners within an agreed timeframe
