Job Title: Part Time Teacher

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Part Time Teacher to join our team in the Hillingdon Borough. As a Part Time Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work on a flexible schedule, covering a variety of age groups and teaching styles.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Covering Sickness: Provide cover for absent teachers, ensuring minimal disruption to the students' learning experience.

  • Making Use of ICT: Utilize technology to enhance understanding and engagement in lessons.
  • Organizing Resources: Ensure that resources are accessible, orderly, and well-labeled, supporting the teaching and learning process.
  • Involve Pupils in Self and Peer Assessment: Encourage students to take ownership of their learning, using self and peer assessment techniques.
  • Using a Variety of Teaching and Learning Styles: Employ a range of teaching methods to maintain high standards of learning, behavior, and progress in the class.
  • Create and Build Relationships: Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Prepare Pupils for the Next Academic Year: Ensure that students are well-prepared for the next academic year, meeting the needs of each child.
  • Liaise with Other Teachers: Collaborate with colleagues to share information and support the needs of students.
  • Operate Within School Policies: Adhere to the school's policies and procedures, maintaining a professional and respectful attitude at all times.
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS): Essential for this role.
  • Experience in Various Age Groups: A proven track record of teaching across different age groups.
  • Curriculum and Behavioural Management: A good understanding of the curriculum and effective behavioral management techniques.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Demonstrate a commitment to being reliable and punctual, ensuring that students receive the best possible education.
  • Compassion and IT Competence: Possess a compassionate approach to teaching and learning, with a strong understanding of technology and its applications in the classroom.
  • Presentable and Professional: Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, presenting yourself in a positive and approachable manner.
