Job Title: Educational Assistant for Children with SEN

Salary Range: £22,500 - £27,500 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Educational Assistant to join our primary school team in a full-time capacity. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching staff to provide support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their academic potential.
  • Collaborate with the SENCo and class teachers to develop and implement IEPs and strategies that cater to the individual needs of SEN pupils.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Promote independence and inclusion in both classroom activities and daily school life.
  • Adapt resources and materials to meet the individual needs of SEN pupils.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with special needs children in a primary school setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach, with a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other staff members.
