Job Description:

Timeplan Education is seeking an experienced and compassionate PMLD/SEND Education Support Worker to support children and young adults with complex and severe learning difficulties in a SEND School in Harrow or Hillingdon, North West London.

The successful candidate will work with the class teacher to create and deliver personalised learning plans for each student, based on their individual needs and abilities. They will also provide assistance and support for students with physical disabilities, including moving and handling, and use of specialist equipment.

This role requires a positive and caring attitude towards students, with a desire to help them succeed. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the class teacher in delivering a high-quality education and care for students with PMLD and other additional needs.

We estimate this role to pay around £24,000-£30,000 per year, depending on experience. If you feel you are the right candidate for this role, please apply today.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement personalised learning plans for each student
  • Support students with daily living tasks, including feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Develop strategies for managing challenging behaviour, working closely with the class teacher and external professionals as needed
  • Provide assistance and support for students with physical disabilities
