Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of experienced engineers who specialize in PLC maintenance, support, and controls.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for finding and rectifying problems with automated machinery, upgrading PLC systems, and working on PLC control software, drives, motors, controls, and sensors fault finding.
  • A strong understanding of PLC programming languages and excellent problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

The estimated salary for this position is around £50,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finding and rectifying problems with automated machinery
  • Upgrading PLC systems
  • Working on PLC control software, drives, motors, controls, and sensors fault finding

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience as a Maintenance Engineer or site Automation Technician
  • Worked with one of the main PLCs (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, S7, WinCC, Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation, Omron, Mitsubishi)
  • Skilled in using PLC logic as a diagnostic tool to locate and rectify faults in automated machinery
