Key Responsibilities

  • Issue repeat medication requests for patients and local pharmacies.
  • Action online repeat prescription requests and use dispensary task boxes appropriately.
  • Ensure prescription telephone lines are covered during peak hours.
  • Answer prescription queries and issue prescriptions.
  • Raise appliance prescriptions for community nursing teams.
  • Issue prescriptions for care homes, ensuring timely delivery and signature.
  • Organize and sort appliances and paperwork for collection and delivery.
  • Transfer medication to patients at the window/counter, adhering to SOPs.
  • Collect and record prescription charges, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
  • Deal with prescription queries from patients and pharmacies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dispensary environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
