We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispensary Assistant to join our team at Lakeside Healthcare Group. As a Dispensary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dispensary, providing excellent patient care and support to our patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue repeat medication requests for patients and local pharmacies.
- Action online repeat prescription requests and use dispensary task boxes appropriately.
- Ensure prescription telephone lines are covered during peak hours.
- Answer prescription queries and issue prescriptions.
- Raise appliance prescriptions for community nursing teams.
- Issue prescriptions for care homes, ensuring timely delivery and signature.
- Organize and sort appliances and paperwork for collection and delivery.
- Transfer medication to patients at the window/counter, adhering to SOPs.
- Collect and record prescription charges, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
- Deal with prescription queries from patients and pharmacies.
- Maintain a clean and organized dispensary environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
