Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll & Finance Administrator to join our team at Gray Healthcare. As a key member of our Central Support office in Wavertree, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll routines and processes.



Main Responsibilities

  • Own the completion of company payroll routines and cycles, ensuring all aspects meet relevant ethical, regulatory compliance and legal standards.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data, including inputting pension amendments and processing auto-enrolment submissions.
  • Calculate statutory payments such as SSP, SMP and SPP, and deal with Attachment of Earnings.
  • Process P11D returns, tax code changes, P45 and RTI submissions, and provide support to staff on salary and deductions.
  • Liaise with external agencies, including HMRC and pension providers, and maintain key stakeholder management.
  • Produce monthly and supplemental reports, and undertake integrity and audit checks to ensure accurate information.
  • Support the Financial Controller in achieving strategic projects, and assist with other administrative tasks within the Finance team as needed.


Requirements

We are looking for someone with proven experience in payroll, ideally with expertise in Income Tax, National Insurance, SSP and SMP. You should have manual calculation skills, with the ability to format and analyse data in Excel.


A Payroll qualification would be advantageous, and knowledge of Oracle Net Suite accounting software is desirable but not essential.


You will need to be a flexible team player, committed to your career and personal development, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities, a contributory pension scheme and life assurance.
